ABO-Group Environment acquires the soil division of the Dutch engineering company Colsen

ABO-Group Environment acquires the soil division of the Dutch engineering company Colsen. Colsen, with headquarters in Hulst, is an innovative family business that has been working on solutions in the field of water treatment and environment for 30 years. It was founded in 1989 by Joop Colsen and has grown into an international expert in the field of water treatment, manure processing and soil research.

“The Colsen soil department will be a perfect addition to our soil department within the subsidiary ABO-Milieuconsult, with offices in Alphen Aan den Rijn, Breda and Goes,” explains CEO Frank De Palmenaer. “In Flanders, we are the market leader in soil research. In addition, current problems, such as the PFAS case, also teach us that some matters often cross borders. Transnational cooperation is therefore of great importance. This acquisition will only contribute to this,” comments De Palmenaer.

ABO-Group views the acquisition of the department as bringing multiple added values. The soil department of Colsen will be able to rely on an experienced group of colleagues, with 26 years’ experience in soil investigation. Through this acquisition ABO-Group further expands its network in the Netherlands and gains an extra foothold in Zeeland.
